Life’s Ambitions: Apart from pursuing a successful career in law, my life’s ambitions go much deeper than a job. I aspire to motivate, encourage and inspire young women around the world and build self-confidence in young girls who lack such an attribute. I aspire to be a voice for the young girl that feels as though she does not have one, I aspire to be a youth ambassador in our local communities and society at large. Most importantly, I plan to create a non-profitable organization that raises funds for education, as I believe every child should have the right to quality education, which gives all children of every race, colour and creed the same opportunity to be successful and leave their mark on the world. There is a quote by C.W. Lewis that always stuck with me which says, “You can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending.” There aren’t magical time machines that can take me to the past to change a few things in this world, but this quote taught me that I can make a powerful impact on the world now and change the ending, and I plan to do just that!

Hobbies: My hobbies include travelling, socializing with friends and family, acting (performing drama pieces), public speaking, and listening to music.   My Goals in Life: Being young and realizing the innumerable amount of opportunities the world has to offer, I have many goals in life. Some of these goals include completing my high school career and furthering my education at university where I plan to take up pre-law studies in efforts to become a successful lawyer. One of my goals in life has also always been to become Miss Bahamas Teenager and positively influence the lives of young Bahamian girls today.  Above all, my ultimate goal in life is to be completely happy and self-fulfilled in any and everything I sought out to do.

My Best Asset is: My best asset would have to be being goal oriented. In everything I set out to do, I work extremely hard and always put my best foot forward. I go into everything with the mindset to do my best, and even if I fall short of the victory I feel comfort in knowing that my goal was indeed achieved because I’ve already won by trying and gaining new life experience. <div

My Daily Beliefs are: – “Don’t start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday. Every morning we wake up is the first day of the rest of our life.” – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

The Movie/Book that Most Influenced My Life: The book that greatly influenced my life is “A Raisin in the Sun”, written by Lorraine Hansberry. This book speaks about the struggles that a black family encountered in the 1950s and how the many dreams and aspirations that they had for themselves were deferred because of their race. There is a specific character in the book by the name of Beneatha that positively impacted my life. As a young black teenage girl in society, not much has changed, as women and black people are still oppressed by society at large. Beneatha never allowed her gender or race to stop her from dreaming and wanting to achieve more than society told her she could. This book is influential because it is relatable, as I dare to be different and knock down all barriers set to cage me in and stand up to anyone who tells me that I cannot achieve a goal of mine because I am a female. I believe I can do anything I set my mind to, whether I am a female, black, red or brown, and this book showed me just that!

Who I Would Like to Meet and Why:

I would like to meet Michelle Obama because she is an influential woman in today’s society, quite intelligent and well versed, and she could probably give me a few tips on becoming a successful lawyer.

I am Motivated By: I am motivated by negativity in the world. This might sound odd, but with all of the negativity happening around me, it motivates me to be a better person and positively impact the world and people around me. Negativity makes me strive for excellence and gives me the drive to be better so that I don’t fall victim to negative words, deeds, or actions.

What I Would like the Judges to know about me is: I would like the judges to know that I am an extremely hardworking young lady who is passionate about any and everything I sought out to do. I respect myself and others and consider myself a positive role model for young girls today. I want the judges to know that if given the title of Miss Bahamas Teenager, I will motivate and inspire not only the youth of the Bahamian society but society at large. I intend to leave my mark on the world and becoming Miss Bahamas Teenager gives me the perfect opportunity to be the change I want to see in the world.

My Community Service Achievements are: With 50+ hours of community service, serving my community has come natural to me. I started serving in my community at a very young age, for, in 2014 I created beaded necklaces and bracelets, sold them at my school, and donated the profits to the Ranfurly Homes for Children. I have served at Pat’s Senior Citizens Home, St. Martin’s Convent, Great Commissions Ministries, The Salvation Army, and was a part of the Hurricane Irma relief team, just to name a few. It is always a pleasure to lend a helping hand where needed.

Describe Yourself in Three Words: Outspoken, Resilient, Determined

Who I Would Like to Meet and Why:
